Bangkok Floods

A Story of Thailand’s FLOOD CRISIS 2011 – from

Quick Pack’s perspective

Friends and Patrons,

With this webpage we would like to update all of you about what Quick Pack Pacific Co., Ltd. went through during the massive floods that occurred in Thailand during the period that started in OCTOBER and went on through NOVEMBER and DECEMBER 2011. We put together some pictures of the times during which we were ‘underwater’ both at our factory and at our personal homes. My family’s houses and cars were all destroyed, water levels reached up to 3 meters and it is very difficult to protect yourself from that. The good news is that we managed to save the factory and that our machines are back running since 5th of December 2011. Our experience with severe floods started on the 21st October 2011, when all the main roads became rivers, we can separate the happenings in three different aspects:

  1. The Floods at the Offices and Factory
  2. Floods at the Residential Area
  3. Flood Relief to help other victims

The Factory got hit first and our residential area followed after just 5 days. During those difficult times, mostly all areas were underwater and life was very tough especially for the weaker part of the society i.e. Children and the elderly. The only thing we needed to do is to help as many people as we could, so together with friends from Bangkok, we started a direct Flood relief team. Please click on the above links to read more details and see more pictures of each aspect of our experience.

Thank you all for your support and looking forward to meeting up with you again soon.

Best regards,

Romeo Romei
